Crochet RIPPLE Pouch Free Pattern
76I wanted to sell handmade crafts online and thought that creating beautiful crocheted pouch was the way to go. So I set forth and opened my crochet bible (Reader's Digest Complete Guide to Needlework) and flipped about for inspiration.I picked this ripple pattern from a variety of shell stitches that was featured in the book and it turned out pretty well for me.
I used 2-3 (I can't remember with certainty) XXL plastic bags to make plarn for this project. This is also the first project where I used softened plarn. Softening plarn is a conditioning technique I have developed to make plarn more pliable for crochet. Click here to learn the methods of making plarn and how to condition it for crochet.
If you'd like to make it yourself, here's how.

Apply the zipper first then line the purse. I used this tutorial by Carrie Wolf because it's easy to follow because she has lots of clear photos.

I love it love it love it love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Very cool.
I love the purse! I've always been interested in using materials other than yarn to knit and crochet. Thanks for sharing this!
I've made several kinds of tote bags from plarn, but this cute little purse is different from anything I've tried. I really like the idea of putting in a lining as even tightly knit plarn can stretch enough to allow very small items to fall through the weave.
This purse is ADORABLE! I'm bookmarking the hub for future use. I think it would make a great Christmas gift! I probably won't use plarn, but I'm sure I can find a nice yarn to go with the pattern. Rated up and useful!!
This is a very nice purse. Just from looking at the pic I would have never guessed that it was from plarn.
Very nice : )
This is a really cute project that could have several different uses!
Voted up and bookmarked.
