  1. Written Pattern
  2. Attaching Zipper and Lining

The Popping Cables Pouch begins with a long chain where sc's are crocheted on both sides to make an oblong base. Three rounds after, the popping cables stitch is begun to achieve it's elegant texture.

The popping cables stitch is something I learned from the book Crochet Stitches VISUAL Encyclopedia by Robyn Chachula. I simply arranged the cables differently to create an interesting texture.

This pouch can hold a Samsung Galaxy SIII since this pouch is made for my sister. However, it can be used to contain your vanity kit, pens, etc.

This pouch is made to hold a Samsung Galaxy SIII phone like these phone cozies.

The stitch pattern I used for this pouch is modified from a stitch included this book. I purchased a Kindle version of this book and I love it sooooo much!

2. Attach Zipper and Lining

Once done with crocheting, it's time to insert the zipper and the lining, which most crocheters dread. I used to avoid zippers too.

However, the tutorial by Miss Carrie Wolf (link floating right) got me started with zippers and that made it possible for me to make a lot of zippered pouches!
